How a typical engagement runs

Most of the stories here follow the same shape. A short setup period to agree positioning and themes, a first month of publishing while the voice settles, and a second and third month where reach among the right people starts to move. Inbound conversations tend to arrive later than people expect, usually somewhere in months three to six.

Where a story shows faster results, there was normally an existing audience or a launch moment to build on. We flag that in the story rather than letting the number stand on its own.

How we report results

Every story on this page describes work we did, with numbers taken from the client's own analytics over a stated period. Where a client cannot be named, the story is labelled as anonymised and the industry and company stage are given instead. We do not publish figures we cannot trace back to a platform export.

Results vary enormously by market, starting audience, and how consistently a company publishes. Treat these as examples of what the work looks like, not as a forecast for your account.

What the successful engagements have in common

  • A founder or executive who showed up for the weekly conversation, even in bad weeks.
  • Approvals measured in minutes, not in review cycles.
  • A narrow set of themes repeated for at least a quarter.
  • Evidence in the content: real numbers, real customers, real decisions.
  • Patience through the first two months, when the metrics move least.

What usually goes wrong

The failure pattern is consistent: drafts sit unapproved, the cadence breaks, and three months later the channel looks the same as it did at the start. The second most common problem is a mismatch between the audience and the buyer, which is a targeting issue rather than a writing one and is usually fixable within a few weeks.
