Get new research when it lands

We publish a few substantial pieces a year rather than a steady stream of light ones. If you want them when they come out, the easiest route is to download any of the gated studies — that list is used for new research only, not for general marketing.

Everything stays available here afterwards, so there is nothing to miss if you would rather check back.

Suggest a study

Several of the pieces here started as a question from a client or a reader: how does this specific company actually publish, what happens in the month after a launch, who is being hired and what does that reveal. If there is a company or a pattern you want examined, send it over. We choose subjects based on how often the question comes up, and we say no to anything we cannot research from public sources.

Where to start

  • Building a case internally: start with the original research and field studies.
  • Preparing a launch or announcement: use the launch playbook.
  • Planning a content hire: use the job descriptions, cost model, and outsource-versus-hire guide.
  • Commissioning a report: compare white paper partners, then copy the hiring brief.
  • Building a founder cadence: start with the LinkedIn content calendar.

What we publish and why

Everything in this library is research we needed for our own work: how specific companies show up on LinkedIn, what changes after a launch announcement, who is being hired and what that says about strategy. We publish it because the same questions come up in nearly every client conversation, and a written answer is more useful than repeating it.

Most of it is ungated. Where an email is required, it is because the piece took weeks of original research and we want to know who is reading it.

How the research is made

  • Public sources only — posts, announcements, filings, and published data.
  • Every claim linked to the source that supports it.
  • Observation windows stated explicitly, so you know how current a finding is.
  • Anything we could not verify is left out rather than hedged.
  • Engagement figures reported as visible at collection time, used for comparison rather than as benchmarks.

Using these with your team

The studies are built to be forwarded. Each one opens with what it covers and what it found, so someone who reads only the first page still gets the argument. Quote them freely with attribution to Invisible Keyboard and a link back to the page.

If you want the method applied to your own market or a specific competitor, that is a piece of work we do for clients — the same research process, scoped to the companies you care about.
